Written Answers. - Planning Guidelines.

Olivia Mitchell

Question:

417 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will consider making the keeping of pigeons in densely populated urban areas a practice which will require planning permission, in view of the very intrusive impact the keeping of pigeons can have on near neighbours. [14698/03]

In accordance with Class 3, Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Planning and Development Regulations 2001, planning permission is required for the construction, erection or placing within the curtilage of a house of any shed or similar structure used for the keeping of pigeons.
