Question:

169 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the position regarding an application for a non-EU work permit by a company (details supplied) in County Cork. [14705/03]

An application in this case was received on 23 April 2003. It is policy to process work permit applications in the order in which they are received. Assuming an application is completed correctly and is otherwise in order, it will take approximately 30 days to process.

170 Mr. Cregan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if an application for work permit by a company (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will be processed. [14733/03]

A work permit in respect of the individual concerned has been issued and has been forwarded to the employer.
