183 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received a fifth year payment of the REP 1 scheme; and when this person will receive the payment. [14291/03]

184 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the balance of a suckler cow grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14306/03]
The person named applied for premium for 42 animals under the 2002 suckler cow premium scheme. Payment of her 80% advance instalment amounting to €7405.91 issued on 19 November 2002. This was in respect of 41.3 animals, which is the total number of quota rights on record for the person named. When processing for balancing payment it was found that according to CMMS records animal tag number GRA803724 was not on the herd reconciliation of the person named at the time of application. However, due to industrial action by the clerical staff in the Galway office who are members of the CPSU, the application cannot be processed further at this time.
