Vol. 567 No. 6

Written Answers. - Autism Services.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

205 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the assistance which can and will be offered by way of respite or long-term care to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare whose daughter has autism; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14905/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services to persons with autism in County Kildare is a matter, in the first instance, for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
