Vol. 567 No. 6

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

82 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Finance if the necessary finance will be provided to allow the Office of Public Works to purchase a site for the new Garda station in Castleisland, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14557/03]

The Commissioners of Public Works are actively in negotiations for the purchase of a suitable site in the Castleisland area for a new Garda station. The acquisition of a site will depend upon an acceptable price being reached, and in accordance with the priority accorded Castleisland by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform, subject to necessary funding being available.
