183 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if he is satisfied that the proper procedure has been carried out in respect of a project (details supplied) and also in respect of the work carried out to date by Irish Rail on the causeway; and the current position in this regard. An application for a foreshore lease has been received in respect of the development to which the Deputy refers and, following completion of public consultation on the proposals, is being considered in the normal way. All relevant issues will be considered carefully before a decision is made on the application. Matters relating to the works carried out at Malahide Causeway by Iarnród Éireann are being pursued by my Department.
