Vol. 567 No. 7

Written Answers. - Services for People with Disabilities.

John McGuinness

Question:

207 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if a shower seat and hand rails will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if the occupational therapist will visit this person to determine the other appliances or equipment which are needed; and if a full occupational therapist's report has already been carried out on the case. [15044/03]

The provision of health related services to people with physical and-or sensory disabilities is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
