33 Ms Burton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when he plans to introduce the legislation to reform the licensing laws, announced by him on 28 May 2003; the main provisions of the promised legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17095/03]
The Intoxicating Liquor Bill 2003 has already been published and was presented in the Seanad yesterday. Second Stage has been completed and I expect that the remaining stages in the Seanad will be concluded today. I expect that the Bill will come before the Dáil next week and I am hopeful that it will be enacted before the summer recess.
