Vol. 569 No. 4

Written Answers. - Irish Language.

Jack Wall

Question:

153 Mr. Wall asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the funding provided to organisations in regard to the development of the Irish language by same either directly or indirectly by her Department; and the policy, in bilingual format, of the organisations for which the funding was provided. [17996/03]

No funding is provided by my Department for the development of Irish language as the matter falls outside the remit of my Department. In that context the issue of the policy of such organisations does not arise.
