378 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children if he received a submission from the Midland Health Board in February 2003 regarding the provision of additional beds at Mullingar General Hospital; the details of this submission; the number of beds which were outlined in same; the costings associated with it; and the likely timeframe which will see the project come to fruition. [18335/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services at the Midland Regional Hospital at Mullingar rests with the Midland Health Board. A submission regarding the provision of additional beds at the hospital has been received and is currently under consideration by my Department.
