Vol. 570 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

John McGuinness

Question:

407 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if the SEHB will continue to provide a bed and care at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Carlow, for a person (details supplied); the reason the SEHB proposed to move the person from this location; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18548/03]

As the Deputy will be aware, the responsibility for the provision of health services in the Carlow area rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him, as a matter of urgency.
