441 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate the problems being encountered by persons (details supplied) in County Kildare in regard to psychiatric treatment for their child; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18812/03]

Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children (Mr. T. O'Malley):

Responsibility for the provision of care and treatment of the named individuals rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
