464 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Transport the key indicators of input, output, outcome and performance which his Department monitors as part of the strategic management initiative; and the trend in these indicators in each year since 1997. [18694/03]
The Department of Transport was formed in June 2002. Its statement of strategy for the period 2003-2005 lists all the Department's expected outputs, outcomes and the key performance indicators for that period. Copies of the statement of strategy are available in the Oireachtas Library and it can also be accessed through the Department's website – www.transport.ie.
As is stated in the statement of strategy, "progress on delivery of Departmental outputs, within available resources, will be monitored on an on-going basis and reported annually in our Annual Report." The annual report for the year 2002 will be published shortly.
