509 Mr. Dennehy asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if contingency plans are being put in place for potential protests by anti-globalisation protestors during Ireland's Presidency of the EU in 2004; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18819/03]

I am advised by the Garda authorities that contingency planning is ongoing to deal with potential public order disturbances during Ireland's Presidency of the EU.
