177 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of times since his appointment to the Government he has been out of the country on official business; the locations he travelled to, the dates and the reason therefor; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18985/03]

Details of travel abroad on official business since my appointment to Government are as follows, including locations, dates and reason for travel: 1. Malaysia and Thailand, 25 September 2002 to 03 October 2002 – accompanying the President on a state visit to Malaysia and an official visit to Thailand; 2. Brussels, Belgium, 11 November 2002 to 12 November 2002 – EU Education Council; 3. Paris, France, 21 November 2002 to 23 November 2002 – OECD meeting; 4. Copenhagen, Denmark, 28 November 2002 to 30 November 2002 – ministerial conference on enhanced European co-operation in vocational education and training; 5. London, 24 January 2003 to 27 January 2003 – meeting with the Secretary of State for Education and Skills; 6. Athens, Greece, 28 February 2003 to 2 March 2003 – informal meeting of Ministers of Education of the EU and pre-accession countries; 7. Australia/Thailand/Malaysia, 8 March 2003 to 22 March 2003 – accompanying the President on an official visit to Australia and meetings on educational issues in Malaysia and Thailand; 8. London, 30 March 2003 to 30 March 2003 – meeting the Survivors of Abuse Group; 9. Larnaca, Cyprus, 26 June 2003 to 28 June 2003 – conference of European Education Ministers.
