Question:

266 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the number of times since his appointment to the Government he has been out of the country on official business; the locations he travelled to, the dates and the reason therefor; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18992/03]

I have been on five official business trips abroad since my appointment to Government. Following are the details pertaining to same:

OSCE Conference at the request of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

London

Wed. 29 January – Thurs. 30 January, 2003.

To attend a “Burns Night Supper” hosted by Lord Laird, Westminster.

South Africa

Thurs. 13 March – Sun. 18 March, 2003.

Boston

Thurs. 24 April – Sun. 27 April, 2003.

To attend 2003 Conference of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.

Poland/Slovakia

Mon. 2 June – Fri. 6 June, 2003.
