Vol. 570 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

David Stanton

Question:

225 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of requests made to his Department to provide additional accommodation to Glenville national school, County Cork; if his attention has been drawn to the necessity to provide temporary accommodation for September 2003; if he will be able to provide such accommodation; his further plans for this school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19427/03]

The temporary accommodation projects that were approved for 2003 are set out at section 12 of the school building programme.

On the basis of the budgetary allocation it was not possible to make provision in 2003 to provide temporary accommodation at Glenville national school. The budgetary allocation for 2004 and subsequent years will determine the rate of progress on applications/projects that could not be included in this year's programme.
