Question:284 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding the development control plan for Cavan General Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19461/03]
Written Answers. - Hospitals Building Programme.
A design team has been selected to progress the work involved in preparing an outline development control plan for each of the five acute hospital sites in the North-Eastern Health Board functional area, including Cavan General Hospital. The formal appointment of design teams awaits final agreement of the planning brief by the overall steering group for the five sites, and by my Department. The draft planning brief for Cavan General Hospital is well advanced and it is hoped that it will be agreed shortly.
