350 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the estimated cost of completing phase 2 of the restoration works to Maynooth Castle, Maynooth, County Kildare; the percentage of same which can be part funded by the EU; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The position in relation to further capital works at Maynooth Castle remains as set out in the reply to Question No. 212 of 27 February 2003. There are no plans to carry out a phase II in the medium term and my Department has not prepared estimates for such work. At present there are no EU funds available to my Department for capital projects in the built heritage area.
