356 Ms Burton asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government if he has issued regulations and instructions to county managers in respect of representations from public representatives, Deputies, Senators, and their right to information and access in respect of local authorities; and the arrangements in this regard. [19506/03]
Section 3 of the recent Local Government (No. 2) Act 2003 amends the Local Government Act 2001 to provide for the making of regulations as regards local authorities and their dealings with members of either House of the Oireachtas. These regulations will be made by the end of this week and must be laid before both Houses. My Department will be writing to all county and city managers once the regulations have been made.
