Private Security Services Bill 2001: Financial Resolution.

I move:

That it is expedient to make provision for charging such fees as may be prescribed in regulations made by the Private Security Authority with the consent of the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform in respect of applications for licences to provide a security service, applications for renewal or variation of such licences, the issue of duplicate licences or identity cards or the issue of copies of entries in the Private Security Register and for charging such fees as may be specified by the Private Security Appeal Board in respect of appeals to that board, as provided for under any Act of the present session to provide for the establishment of a body, to be known as the Private Security Authority, or in the Irish language An tÚdarás Slándála Príobháidí, to control and supervise individuals and firms providing private security services and to investigate and adjudicate on any complaints against them; for the establishment of a body, to be known as the Private Security Appeal Board, or in the Irish language An Bord Achomhairc um Shlándáil Phríobháideach, to hear and determine appeals against decisions of that authority; and for related matters.
