Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - Psychological Service.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

587 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education and Science when the child of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 will have a NEPS assessment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20475/03]

I have made inquiries about this case with the regional office of the national educational psychological service, NEPS, which has responsibility for the school in question. I understand that the child referred to is not enrolled in that school and has never been referred to the NEPS for assessment. From inquiries made by the NEPS, it appears that the child has been assessed in a child guidance clinic and is awaiting an appointment for further assessment.
