590 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the school transport for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; if the bus will be rerouted to travel on a road (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20479/03]
Under existing Department guidelines, primary school pupils who reside less than 1.5 miles from a bus route to their appropriate school are considered to have a reasonable level of service. If the Deputy provides the name of the school, my Department will have the case investigated as a matter of urgency.
