628 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Education and Science when a special needs assistant will be provided for a person (details supplied) enrolled at St. Conleth's infant school, Newbridge; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20783/03]

The special education section of my Department informed the school authorities of St. Conleth's infant school by letter dated 9 September 2003 that a special needs assistant on a shared basis with two other pupils was sanctioned to cater for the care needs of the pupil to whom he refers.
