I propose to take Questions Nos. 629 to 643, inclusive, together.

My Department has assigned band ratings to the large-scale projects at various stages of architectural planning in sections 6 and 7 of the building programme. The criteria used to assign these band ratings were also published for the first time. This gives greater clarity to all the partners in education on their individual building projects and helps to dispel the fears that any school or project can "jump the queue".

The initial assignment of a project to a particular band rating does not preclude its subsequent reassignment to a different band rating as circumstances change, e.g. an amalgamation which was agreed subsequent to a band rating being assigned to a project at a school or significant structural deterioration in a school building which was not known at the time of the initial assignment of a band rating. In the event of such circumstances arising, band ratings are changed with the updated position reflected in subsequent updates on my Department's website.
