Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

Seán Crowe

Question:

677 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Education and Science his Department's position on purchasing the land adjacent to Scoil Threasa, Ballycullen, Firhouse, Dublin 24, in order for the school to expand and meet the demands being put on it; if inspections of this land by officials from his Department have taken place recently; and when a decision can be expected from his Department on the matter. [21047/03]

My Department has not received an application from the authorities of Scoil Threasa in relation to the acquisition of lands adjoining the school. The school authorities are being asked to regularise this position. On receipt of a formal application, officials in school planning section will examine the matter. A decision will be conveyed to the school as soon as possible.
