Written Answers. - Mental Health Services.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

895 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if an assessment under the Joe Wolfe Project for an association (details supplied) dealing with persons with intellectual disabilities can be arranged to proceed without further delay. [20145/03]

As part of an ongoing review of needs within existing services, a review of services provided by section 65 funded intellectual disability service providers has been ongoing in the various health board regions. Arrangements are now in train for this process to commence in the eastern region. The association in question will be contacted by the South Western Area Health Board once those arrangements are finalised.
