925 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if the South Eastern Health Board will provide a new wheelchair in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if an assessment will be undertaken immediately with a view to granting this person the wheelchair as soon as possible. The provision of aids and appliances to people with physical and sensory disabilities, including the provision of wheelchairs, is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, a copy of the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
