Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - Home Help Service.

John McGuinness

Question:

926 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a home help has not been provided in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in view of the fact that this offer from the South Eastern Health Board was made in December 2001; if correspondence from this person and their general practitioner to the South Eastern Health Board will be acknowledged and acted upon; the other supports which are available to this person from his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20425/03]

Responsibility for the provision of home help services to eligible persons in County Kilkenny rests with the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
