Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

John McGuinness

Question:

943 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if long-term care will continue to be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who is at Castlecomer Hospital, Kilkenny; if the South Eastern Health Board will discuss the home support which is needed with their spouse before this person is discharged; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20572/03]

As the Deputy will be aware, responsibility for the provision of health services in County Kilkenny rests with the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him, as a matter of urgency.

Questions Nos. 944 and 945 answered with Question No. 847.
