951 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on the idea to establish an independent living fund as proposed by the Sligo Centre for Independent Living; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20580/03]
The issue of home supports and personal assistance is currently being reviewed by the home supports and personal assistance working group under the remit of my Department. The working group consists of representatives of my Department, the health boards, service providers and service users. This working group is open to all views and proposals. In this regard, if the Sligo Centre for Independent Living wishes to submit its proposal to the working group it shall be considered in this context.
