Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - Accident and Emergency Services.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

985 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the extent to which it is intended to put in place the necessary resources to render the new accident and emergency unit at Naas General Hospital, Naas, County Kildare fully operational; if he will outline the exact requirements in this area; when it is expected to meet these in full; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20951/03]

Services at Naas General Hospital are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority and my Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to examine this issue and to reply to the Deputy directly.
