996 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will provide additional funding for the Ashtree respite service in Ballinasloe, County Galway to meet the additional demands being put on this service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21005/03]
The allocation of funding for specific services for people with intellectual disability and autism in the Galway region is a matter for the Western Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him.
