Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - Accident and Emergency Services.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

1014 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the new accident and emergency unit at Naas Hospital will not be fully utilised because of financial constraints; if he will provide the required funding to enable full utilisation of this service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21218/03]

Services at Naas General Hospital are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority and my Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to examine this issue and to reply to the Deputy directly.
