201 Mr. Eamon Ryan asked the Minister for Finance if the ESRI medium-term review represents a fair reflection of the current state of the economy; and if the Government is willing to implement many of the review's recommendations. [20948/03]
The ESRI medium-term review (MTR) assessed our economic prospects for the period to 2010. As such its primary focus was on the medium term. I have noted the MTR's comments in this regard. As regards the current position of the economy, my Department revised its growth forecasts to 1% for both GDP and GNP in the Economic Review and Outlook, which was published in August.
