1226 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 371 of 24 June 2003, when he envisages the completion of the research and consultation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20999/03]
I refer the Deputy to my answers to a number of his previous questions on this topic since October 2002. The Deputy is aware that the revision of district and divisional boundaries is being considered as part of a major ongoing review of Garda organisational structures under the strategic management initiative programme for modernisation.
This process is taking place under the Garda SMI implementation group. The outcome of that review will be submitted for consideration by Government when completed.
