Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - Television Licences.

John Perry

Question:

1344 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs the plans she has in place to bring forward a budget proposal for the provision of free television licences to residential institutes; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19880/03]

My understanding is that in residential institutions, such as nursing homes, one licence normally covers all televisions in that place of residence. There are no plans for the provision of free licences in these cases.

Question No. 1345 answered with Question No. 1341.
