258 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science when primary school placement will be offered to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath who was unsuccessful in obtaining a school placement in St. Colman's Bellview, Mullingar and whose family are anxious for her to attend school in the vicinity due to transport issues; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am aware of the case referred to by the Deputy. The matter is being investigated by my Department's inspectorate, with a view to securing a suitable school placement for the child in question. My officials will contact the Deputy directly with the outcome.
