268 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will examine the case of a person (details supplied) in County Waterford who qualified as a secondary school teacher in UCD but is considered to be a non-seconded teacher, and as a result has a significantly reduced salary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21437/03]

I am arranging to have the issue raised by the Deputy investigated by my Department. I will advise the Deputy of the position as soon as possible.
