285 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo can expect to be called for their hip operation; when they were put on the waiting list for Merlin Park Hospital in Galway; and how long they were on the waiting list. [21455/03]

The provision of hospital services for persons resident in County Mayo is a matter for the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position and to reply directly to the Deputy.
