I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Boyle – the need to provide a repository for radioactive waste; (2) Deputy Pat Breen – the need to ask the Minister for Transport if a special case has been put forward by the Government for Shannon Airport in view of the commencement of the EU-USA negotiations on open skies; (3) Deputy Gregory – the imprisonment of Deputy Joe Higgins; (4) Deputy Durkan – the subject matter and reply to Parliamentary Question No. 20593/03 of 30 September 2003; (5) Deputy Gilmore – the decision of the Minister of Education and Science to close St. Catherine's College of Home Economics, Sion Hill, Blackrock, Co. Dublin; (6) Deputy Burton – the crisis in accident and emergency services at James Connolly Memorial Hospital with patients being treated in the car park while the €96 million new hospital block remains largely closed; (7) Deputy Michael Moynihan – the level of investment by Government Departments and State agencies in printing costs for glossy brochure-type publications and annual reports; (8) Deputy Breeda Moynihan-Cronin – the cutbacks in childcare provision for VTOS participants in County Kerry; (9) Deputy McManus – the threat of withdrawal of section 481 tax relief and its negative impact on film making in Ireland and in particular in County Wicklow; (10) Deputy Finian McGrath – the crisis residential waiting list of 263 people with intellectual disabilities at St. Michael's House, Ballymun, Dublin 9; (11) Deputy Connaughton – the steps taken to ensure that the live export of cattle will be safeguarded by ensuring that the resting stations for cattle in transit will be maintained across Europe; (12) Deputies Stanton and Allen – the urgent need to make provision for a new school of music building in Cork and the need for a statement on the matter; (13) Deputy Neville – children's mental health services; (14) Deputy Ring – the need to ask the Minister for Education and Science to restore funding to vocational education committees to allow VTOS course participants to avail of the child care allowance; what progress has been made in this regard; and whether the Minister will immediately provide some special assistance to vocational education committees that are particularly badly affected.
