Vol. 571 No. 4

Written Answers. - Pension Provisions.

Michael Ring

Question:

241 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance if a person (details supplied) who worked with the Dublin Port and Docks Board from 7 October 1974 to 14 October 1977 may claim these years for starting pay-incremental purposes, for pension and for retirement lump sum purposes arising from arrangements reached when the Departments of Finance and the Public Service were combined in 1986-87. [22087/03]

The question of starting pay and incremental credit would be a matter for the individual in question to take up with his or her present employer.

As regards pension entitlements, the individual concerned should consult his or her personnel section about the transfer of pensionable service from the Dublin Port and Docks Board under the public sector transfer of service arrangements.
