Vol. 571 No. 4

Written Answers. - National Development Plan.

Richard Bruton

Question:

446 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Transport the financial and the physical progress to date on the economic and social infrastructure operational programme of the national development plan, the way in which they compare to projections, the present estimate of the cost of completing the OP, and the way in which it compares to the original estimate. [20879/03]

Expenditure under the economic and social infrastructure operational programme over the period 2000-2002, amounted to €10.59 billion, which is 5.4% in excess of that forecast in the NDP. Details of the financial and physical progress in the implementation of the programme are set out in the mid-term evaluation of the programme recently completed by Indecom economic consultants and available on the NDP website at www.ndp.ie, and the progress report to the spring meeting of the OP monitoring committee. Copies of both of these reports will be sent to the Deputy.
