154 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of children requiring heart surgery who have been treated abroad under the treatment purchase fund; and the total cost of their travel and treatment, including costs of an accompanying person or persons. [22447/03]

I have been informed by the chief executive of the national treatment purchase fund that, to date, the fund has not made arrangements for any children to receive heart surgery abroad.
