Vol. 572 No. 2

Written Answers. - Departmental Properties.

John McGuinness

Question:

106 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Finance the location of the demountable dwellings which were to be used at Leggetsrath, Kilkenny; if they are being stored; if they are in use elsewhere and if so, the location; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22714/03]

There are six demountable buildings now in Office of Public Works ownership.

One is currently in use at Rainsfort Street (adjacent to Thomas Street) Dublin, as a computer learning clubhouse for school children from the area.

The other five are held in rent-free storage in kit form at Barrettstown Castle.

Billy Timmins

Question:

107 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Finance the position in relation to a request from the residents of Dunlavin, County Wicklow, who are willing to carry out repairs to the Garda barracks in Dunlavin in order that they will have a garda living in the village; if permission can be given to them to carry out the necessary improvements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22690/03]

The Commissioners of Public Works carry out works to Garda stations at the behest of the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform and the Garda authorities.

I am advised by the Commissioners that no request for works at Dunlavin Garda station have been received.
