Question:

153 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Transport the amount of money which has been allocated to and spent by the National Roads Authority and by Donegal County Council on national road building projects and road upgrade and improvement schemes in County Donegal from 2000 to 2003 inclusive; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24661/03]

As the Deputy will be aware the allocations to local authorities for national road improvement projects is a matter for the National Roads Authority, NRA. However, I have made inquiries with the NRA and the position in relation to the amounts allocated to and spent by Donegal County Council on national road improvements and maintenance in the period 2000-03 are as set out below:
