156 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Transport further to Parliamentary Question No. 160 of 14 October 2003, the specific date in 2003 for the proposed change in the provisional licence regulation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24675/03]

The date of commencement of any changes to the regulatory conditions under which provisional driving licences have effect will be set out in due course in the relevant amending regulations.

157 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Transport when a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon will receive a date for a driving test; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24676/03]

A driving test will be arranged as soon as possible for the person concerned. When the person concerned submitted his application he did not indicate, or submit documentary evidence, that a test was urgently required.
