160 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if funding is available to put disabled access into buildings either public or under control of voluntary organisations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24649/03]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. McDowell):

While my Department has a key role in the development of disability equality policy and legislation, it is not directly involved in the provision of services for people with disabilities. As such, no grant scheme exists within my Department for funding access into buildings.
