Vol. 574 No. 1

Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

485 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government his views on the revised plans to pursue a pilot scheme as a forerunner to a scheme (details supplied); if he has made funds available to the local authority for this purpose; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26138/03]

My Department gave approval to Carrick-on-Suir Town Council in October 2003 to proceed to tender stage for a pilot phase of ten houses in the Ballylynch housing estate. It is now a matter for the town council to arrange for the public procurement of the pilot project, following which the required capital funding will be provided by my Department.
