Question:

190 Ms Enright asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason recommended speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and play therapy, as assessed by a private psychologist, has not been provided to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27741/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 189 and 190 together.

Responsibility for the provision of services to persons with an intellectual disability and those with autism in the Offaly region rests with the Midland Health Board. My Department has asked its chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to her.
